My boyfriend and I started our search for the perfect house back in late September this year. The process was quite daunting because we had no clue what was involved in the process. It was very important we found a realtor who was responsible, well-informed, and supportive. I Yelped realtors in the Fremont area and when I stumbled upon Yvette's page I felt she could be a good match for us, especially since she speaks Teochew which is a Chinese dialect most people know nothing about. I sensed she would hit it off with my parents too since they were also very involved in our house searching process. We met Yvette and immediately, we could tell that she had a lot of expertise in the home buying/selling business. She knew a lot of important information about the Fremont area (schools, house proximity to freeway, neighborhood etc) we did not initially consider when buying a house. We started working with her in mid-October and Yvette always made time for us despite her busy schedule and she would work around the clock, responding very quickly to our emails/texts. Yvette has been wonderful because she was always supportive of our needs and never pushed us to do something we were not comfortable with. She guided us through every single step and patiently answered all of our questions. Our wish was to have a new home for the holidays and lo' and behold, we were granted our wish! We never expected it because we had heard how searching for a house can take several months, but our very first offer was accepted and we were in disbelief and excited at the same time that our wish was coming true. Yvette's amazing negotiation skills and strong connections in the field really helped push us over the edge. There was an unexpected snag along the way, but again, Yvette helped outline all of our options and carefully listened to us when we were not sure what to do. She was never pushy, only supportive and caring. After confiding with our families and thinking it through, we felt this house was still the perfect one for us and our needs, and Yvette worked her magic to help us close the process. The day before we were scheduled to close escrow, without us asking, Yvette made sure to go out of her way to check on our house a few times while the biggest storm of the decade hit us on 12/10/14 to make sure there was no flooding or leaking. Luckily, the house withstood the huge storm. We are forever grateful to her and know we will continue working with her in the future. We are already recommending her to our friends and family who are looking to buy/sell a house. Yvette -- we know you tell us to stop thanking you and that you are only doing your job, but we do truly want to take a moment to thank you so much for all that you have done for us. We are so excited to settle into our new home soon. Happy holidays to you and your family!
